HOW IT WORKS

Your Tour is private-league fantasy golf built for real trips. One of your group acts as the commissioner and sets everything up. Everyone else drafts, scores, and competes.

01 · THE HIERARCHY

LEAGUE → TOURNAMENT → ROUND

Everything lives inside a League — your standing group of friends. A league persists across trips and carries your golfer pool and managers.

Each trip is a Tournament. A tournament has its own draft (everyone picks a lineup), its own scoring, and its own leaderboard. You can run multiple tournaments per year inside the same league.

A tournament is made up of Rounds — one round per day of golf. Each round is tied to a specific course and tee set, and has a scheduled tee time.

Example:“Waterleigh” is the league — your standing group. “Two Cats 2026” is the tournament — this year's trip. “Crooked Cat Day 1” and “Crooked Cat Day 2” are the two rounds.
02 · KEY DISTINCTION

GOLFERS ≠ MANAGERS

Golfersare the draftable people in your pool — the ones being scored. Every person actually playing in the trip should be added as a golfer. Golfers have a handicap and a draft price. They don't need an account on Your Tour.

Managers are the people in your group who have accounts on Your Tour. They log in, draft lineups, and view the leaderboard. The commish is always a manager.

A person can be both a golfer anda manager — most regulars are. If your buddy has an account, link their golfer entry to their manager profile. It's optional, and your non-tech friends can still be golfers without ever logging in.

TL;DR: Add everyone who is physically playing golf as a Golfer. Only people who need to draft lineups or enter scores need to be Managers (with accounts).
03 · DRAFT

PICK YOUR LINEUP

The commish sets a golfer pool and a salary cap ($100 by default). Each manager then drafts a lineup of golfers from the pool, staying under the cap.

Golfer prices are set by the commish based on handicap. Lower handicaps cost more — they're expected to score better. The cap forces real decisions.

Draft is open until the commish closes it (or the first tee time hits). After that, lineups are locked.

04 · SCORING

PER-HOLE FANTASY POINTS

One person in each group enters scores hole-by-hole on their phone as you play. It doesn't have to be the same person every hole — just open the scorecard and tap your way through. The leaderboard updates live as scores come in.

Scores are converted to fantasy points using each golfer's net score — handicap strokes are allocated hole-by-hole using USGA stroke index, so the 18-handicapper is competing on a level field with the scratch golfer.

HOLE RESULT (NET)POINTS
Eagle or better+9
Birdie+3.5
Par+0.5
Bogey−1.3
Double bogey or worse−5

On top of hole points, golfers can earn bonuses within each round:

ROUND BONUSPOINTS
Birdie streak (3 consecutive)+3
Birdie streak (4 consecutive)+5
Birdie streak (5 consecutive)+10
Birdie streak (6+ consecutive)+18
Bogey-free round (all 18 holes)+5

After all rounds are scored, finish bonuses are applied based on each golfer's overall event rank:

FINISH BONUSPOINTS
1st place+25
2nd place+12
3rd place+10
Top 10+8
Top 20+3

Your lineup score is the sum of points earned by all the golfers you drafted. The commish can adjust all point values in the league settings — the defaults above match Yahoo Daily Fantasy Golf.

05 · FAQ

COMMON QUESTIONS

How do I invite friends to my league?

Go to your league and open the Invite page. Copy the invite link and share it however you like — iMessage, group chat, email. Anyone who opens it and signs up automatically joins the league.

Does every golfer need to create an account?

No. Anyone in the group who physically plays golf should be added as a golfer, but they don't need an account. Only people who want to draft lineups or enter scores need to sign up as managers.

What is 'Linked Manager' when adding a golfer?

If a golfer also has a Your Tour account, linking them means the app knows they're the same person. This enables features like personal stats and draft history. It's optional — leave it blank if your golfer isn't on the app.

Who can enter scores?

Any manager in the league can enter hole scores for any golfer in their scorecard group. Usually one person in each foursome handles the phone for the whole group.

Can I run multiple trips per year in the same league?

Yes. Create a new tournament for each trip. Your golfer pool and managers carry over — you only need to adjust pricing or add new golfers if the roster changes.

What scoring system does it use?

Your Tour uses a points-per-hole system with stroke-rank bonuses. The exact rules are set by the commish in the league's scoring config. By default it follows a USGA-inspired allocation across all 18 holes.
